Modern Day Knights, or mdK for short, is a Fantasy-Based Boffer Combat Sport. It uses foam padded weapons to emulate weaponry used in classical fantasy warfare. All weapons are tested before each session to ensure safety. Players then engage in a variety of supervised mock combat games.

Joining is easy! Look at our schedule to find an Open Field day and attend. You may come to watch or play.

We take many precautions to make sure that mdK is safe to play. However the chance of injury is still present, as like many conventional sports.

We normally have a few spare weapons for use. However, we expect players to invest in their own weapons as well as garb. We give new players a four week period to focus on understanding the game and to find a class they feel comfortable playing. As soon as you have figured out what class you would like to be, is is recommended that you acquire that class’s sash ASAP. (See rulebook for more information.)
